To begin with this clarification, it is pertinent to note that since the world’s weather centers are required to publish all this type of information at their monitoring stations, in real time; mobile apps work as an ideal communication channel for it,

Typically, this is the data collected at the world’s largest information assimilation centers. Which, gather information from different sources like satellites, radar, ships, planes, bui, etc. But since this is very heterogeneous information with respect to spatial and temporal distribution, it is important to organize it.

Thus, applications work as a matrix, responsible for ordering all the collected information and making it homogeneous in both time and space, projecting it in time (usually hour by hour) and thus placing it, accessible to the public

In this sense, it is important to detail four types of applications to check the time, more common. Which are:

First, we find those that are responsible for forecasting for points where there are monitoring stations and are based on statistics,
There are others that offer set forecasts by artificial intelligence
As a third type, there are those that use collected information from NCEP or national environmental forecasting centers.
Finally, there are those that are based on high-resolution numerical models,
Now, regarding the accuracy shown by these types of applications, it is important to note that the equations that describe the movements of the Earth they are some of the most complex in existence and for this reason they have no analytical solution known to humans.

Thus, the only way to achieve an approximation of their results and allow people to check the weather, which experts and developers of these applications do, is to use numerical methods to do so, But they may reveal some errors in the predictions because of the different approaches that exist and the inability to find an analytical solution.

This means that as long as this solution cannot be focused on the equations that look at the movements of the atmosphere, it is impossible to achieve a really accurate result, But just the same, expert knowledge and the use of certain numerical and statistical methods can reduce these errors and thus provide good information about the climate.
